Understanding forehead lines

The horizontal lines across the forehead are among the first to appear, because we raise our brows constantly. Early on they show only with movement, but over time they can settle into the skin at rest. The right approach depends on which stage you are at, which is why we assess them as part of our anti-wrinkle injections and skin quality treatments.

What causes forehead lines

Forehead lines form from repeated movement of the frontalis muscle, which lifts the brows. Every time you raise them, the skin creases, and over years those creases become etched in as collagen and elastin decline. Sun exposure, genetics and skin type all influence how quickly they deepen.

Who tends to notice them

They often appear from the late twenties onwards, earlier in people who are very expressive or have had a lot of sun exposure. Thinner, drier skin shows them sooner. Some people are simply more prone to them through genetics, regardless of lifestyle.

Anti-wrinkle injections

A small amount of a prescription injectable eases the movement that creates the lines, softening them while keeping natural expression.

Polynucleotides and skin boosters

For lines that have etched into the skin at rest, regenerative treatments improve skin quality so the lines look smoother.

What results are realistic
