What an obvious result looks like

The usual tell is width. A jaw that has been overfilled reads as square and heavy from the front, and the lower face ends up wider than the cheekbones, which is not a proportion that occurs naturally in most faces. Other giveaways are a visible ridge where the product sits, fullness that carries on below the jaw border, and a chin that looks stuck on rather than part of the face. Almost all of that comes down to volume and placement rather than the product itself.

How a natural result is built

A natural result comes from placing the right amount deep against the bone, following the line your own jaw already takes. We work with the structure you have rather than imposing a shape from a photograph, which is why we look at the chin, the cheeks and the neck before deciding anything about the jaw. Doing it in stages helps too, since it is far easier to add at four weeks than to dissolve. The amount you need is the honest starting point.

Different faces, different jaws

What looks natural differs from one face to the next. A wider, more angular jaw can suit a stronger face and look wrong on a narrow one, and the same volume produces very different outcomes depending on the bone underneath. We are not trying to give everybody the same jaw. If what you are showing us on your phone belongs to a face built differently from yours, we will say so. The first four weeks also exaggerate width, so early is not the time to judge.

Can jawline filler be made subtler if I do not like it?

Yes. A small amount can be dissolved to soften an area that looks too full, and the change is usually clear within a week or two. We would look at it at four weeks first, because settling often solves it without anything else being needed.

Does filler look obvious in photographs?

Camera angles and phone lenses distort the lower face, so a jaw can look wider in a close photograph than it does in person. Judge the result in a mirror in normal daylight rather than on a front facing camera.
